Clawson The Little City With A Big Heart

“At just over two square miles in area Clawson and roughly 12,015 residents … we are one of the smallest communities in Southeastern Michigan and a first thought may be that not much could be happening in such a small place. A lot would be missed, though, by making that assumption. Exploring Clawson by foot is an easy and comfortable stroll or better yet following the well directed bike path with a friend will take you through quiet neighborhoods and to many points of interest. A large, wonderfully appointed city park may be the highlight of your bike ride. There are plenty of picnic spots with tables and barbeque grills. An exercise path winds through the park by tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, shuffle board lanes and swinging chairs built for two (or three). Nearby is the football field and track along with baseball and soccer fields.”

Our Two Cents:

Clawson has a special place in our hearts.  This little city is a great place to live whether you’re raising a family or a few pets!  We may be a little bias since quite a few members of our team live here.  Although the city is small, it is filled with many wonderful and unique to Clawson shops and restaurants. Here are a few of our favorite places in the little city with a big heart!

Three Cats Cafe

This charming little cafe offers delicious sandwiches, baked goods, coffee, and so much more. This renovated 1940’s movie theater provides a unique and fun atmosphere.  Check out their website for more information!

Woodpile BBQ Shack

Woodpile does it right by smoking their meat fresh every night. Round out your meal by adding on their from-scratch side dishes and custom-made ice cream. We suggest their Texas Trinity and Pepper Jack Mac & Cheese! Check out their full menu here!

Voted the best sushi in Michigan! This Japanese grocery store and sushi bar not only has some of the best sushi in the state but their prices can’t be beat. Check out their newly expanded store in downtown Clawson! Noble Fish
